Cultural Trip—The Great Wall

Today was such a nice day! The sky was blue. The weather was nice. It was much warmer than yesterday. We went on the field trip to Mutianyu Great Wall!
The Great Wall was built in Ming Dynasty. It was used to protect the country from Mongolians. Before Ming Dynasty, the country was concurred by Mongolians. They were great at concurring, but not good at ruling the country. So, after the emperor took the lands back, he decided to build the wall to keep Mongolians outside of the country. However, the Great Wall was not served as the same function in Qing Dynasty because China had a good relationship with Mongolians. There’s no need to be scared of being colonized by Mongolians anymore.
The Great Wall is one of the must-see places in Beijing. It’s such a masterpiece, and you cannot imagine its greatness until you see the Great Wall. It’s amazing to think about how ancient people built this masterpiece without many automatic helpers. We used the cable chairs to clamb uphill, and then the Great Wall exploration officially started. We’re amazed by how beautiful it is. The Great Wall was like a dragon laying among the mountains. The beautiful sky, mountains and the Great Wall together is such a beautiful painting that captured your breath. For most of the people, it’s their first time to visit the Great Wall. There were two routes that you could choose. Some people decided to adventure the longer route, while others decided to explore the easier one. No matter which route they decided, everyone had a great time. We took so many pictures that we can keep the beautiful views and great friendship forever. Everyone enjoyed the time at the Great Wall. It was a great cultural experience!
In my opinion, the Great Wall is “great” because the view is so beautiful and the Wall is an amazing masterpiece. It’s “great” because it protected people within the country from invaders. It’s “great” because so many people sacrificed for building it. What do you think?
